TECUMSEH, July 8, 2009: Today the
old house is being demolished however, there is a pile of bricks
left that we can collect. In total, we are well over 3500
bricks for our station with special thanks to the Jobin Rock Farm.
The reclaimed brick will be used to
build a turn of the century two bay fire station at our new building
site located at the Heritage Village
in
Essex Ontario Canada.
Current plans are to construct an old
fire station with a membership hall upstairs. This fire
station will be two trucks deep with a 20,000 square foot fire
apparatus museum to the rear.
Membership forms will be available
soon.
Those that are interested and support this project are encouraged to
join.
